about these terms

these terms apply when you use the nordiksounds site or buy a specimen from it. the site is run by [legal name of the business], [address] (“we”, “us”). by buying a specimen you agree to these terms.

specimens and prices

specimens are digital sample packs. prices are shown in us dollars and include tax. prices and availability can change at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.

payment and delivery

payment is handled by [payment provider] and has to be approved by your card issuer or payment service. if a payment is declined, the order is cancelled. once payment is confirmed, your download is available straight away.

your licence

you are buying a licence to use the sounds, not the sounds themselves. for each specimen you buy, you get a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive licence for one person. you cannot transfer or sublicense it.

you may use the sounds in your own original music, including music you release and sell.

• royalty free: the one-shots, the drum sounds and the feelings. you do not owe us royalties when you use them in released music.
• not royalty free: the melodies. [the terms for using the melodies in released music].

what you may not do

• resell, give away, share or upload the files, or make them available to others, except as part of your own finished music.
• use the sounds in a sample pack, sound library, preset bank or any product that competes with ours.
• copy, change, redistribute or reverse engineer the products other than to make your own music, or get around any protection on them.

ownership

all sounds, recordings and other material on the site remain ours, and are protected by copyright. anything not expressly granted to you in these terms is kept by us.

security clearance

requesting security clearance adds your email address to our list, so we can tell you about new specimens. clearance comes with 10% off the first purchase. [conditions for the discount, for example: one use per person].

refunds

all sales of digital products are final. see the refunds page for what to do if something goes wrong.

using the site

do not use the site for anything unlawful, do not try to break into or disrupt it, and do not scrape or copy its content automatically. if you break these terms, we may end your access and your licences.

our responsibility

specimens are provided as they are. as far as the law allows, we do not promise they will suit every purpose, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid. we are not responsible for indirect losses. nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

if you break these terms and that causes us a loss, you are responsible for it.

complaints and copyright

send complaints, and any claim that something on the site infringes your rights, to [contact email].

changes

we may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. the version in place when you bought a specimen applies to that purchase.

the legal part

these terms are the whole agreement between you and us about your purchase. if one part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. if we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control. these terms are governed by the law of [country], and its courts handle any dispute.
